Info: Ubuntu -14.04.3-desktop-amd64
Wifi USB Adapter: Belkin Model F9L1101v2

  • Terminal: sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
  • GUI: Load Update Manager. Click on Settings, enter your password, and select the Updates tab. Under Automatic Updates tick the box Check for updates and in the menu make your selection from Daily, Every two days, Weekly, Every fortnight.
